On-Premises License Server Settings

Settings Management in the License Server

All License Server and user-specific configurations are consolidated onto a single, intuitive Settings page. This page maintains the consistent grid format seen throughout the user interface, ensuring a familiar and efficient user experience. The Settings page is logically divided into three distinct and critical sections:

User Settings

On the On-Premises License Server, users with the ADMIN role possess the exclusive ability to add or delete other user accounts. This administrative capability is the sole functional divergence when compared to the SaaS version of the License Server.

SMTP Server Settings

The License Server includes a default SMTP server for sending notifications, which is identified as no-reply@cloud.license4j.com. However, for enhanced branding and control over email delivery, you have the option to configure your own custom SMTP server. This allows the License Server to connect to and send emails through your preferred mail service, be it your organization's private server or a public provider like Gmail or Yahoo. This flexibility ensures that all automated communications, such as license generation or expiration notifications, originate from your desired email address.

Payment Processor API Settings

For seamless integration with popular payment gateways, the License Server provides dedicated settings for Paddle and Stripe. If you are utilizing either of these payment processors, it is essential to add your respective API keys in this section. These API keys enable the License Server to automatically obtain order details as they are received from your payment gateway, facilitating real-time license generation, updates, and other automated actions in response to successful transactions. This integration streamlines your e-commerce operations by directly linking sales to license fulfillment.

On-Premises License Server Self License

To manage the server's own license, navigate to the "Settings" page and click on "Actions" menu and select the "Server License" option. This window provides the necessary functionalities for managing your server license.
